Engineering Manager
DSJ Global is partnering with a top-tier food beverage manufacturer located in the Modesto, CA area to find a strategic and hands-on Engineering Manager. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving engineering excellence, leading capital projects, and developing technical talent in a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all engineering functions by working directly with existing teams, leading the capital plan for the facility, and driving strong teamwork in the facility.
- Manage and mentor a team of four salaried direct reports and serve as a point of contact for maintenance team.
- Develop and execute capital projects ranging from $1M-$3M, including budgeting, vendor coordination, and project execution.
- Own technical service areas and serve as the go-to expert for automation, maintenance, and engineering solutions.
- Drive predictive and preventative maintenance programs to enhance reliability and uptime.
- Collaborate closely with corporate engineering on capital planning and execution.
- Support and coach emerging leaders, interns, and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Packaging Engineering/Science.
- 5+ years of experience managing technical teams.
- 5+ years of technical experience in food manufacturing or CPG.
- Proven leadership in capital project management.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop engineering talent.
- Knowledge of GMP, Food Safety Principles, and federal safety/environmental regulations.
