Hardware Verification Engineering Manager
We are seeking a highly driven Hardware Verification Engineering Manager to lead verification strategy and execution for complex, high‑performance hardware products from concept through production release. This is a hands‑on leadership role combining deep technical expertise in digital and high‑speed hardware with strong people leadership and cross‑functional program execution. Key Responsibilities
Verification Leadership & Execution
- Own end‑to‑end hardware verification strategy for new product development programs, from concept through production release.
- Lead planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of verification activities to ensure products meet functional, performance, reliability, and customer requirements.
- Drive mid‑course corrections to maintain schedule, quality, and delivery commitments.
Technical Leadership
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership in the development of automated verification solutions, including custom test hardware, fixtures, and software.
- Guide the team in creating verification architectures, detailed test plans, and robust validation methodologies.
- Champion adoption of new test and measurement technologies and lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives.
- Help define long‑term technical strategy and roadmap for verification capabilities.
People & Team Management
- Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing team of hardware verification engineers.
- Hire, mentor, coach, and provide growth opportunities to support both individual development and organizational needs.
- Set clear goals, priorities, and performance metrics while fostering accountability and engagement.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with hardware, software, firmware, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams across the full product lifecycle.
- Support seamless transition from development into manufacturing and customer deployment.
- Communicate effectively with senior engineering leaders and stakeholders, providing clear status, risks, and recommendations.
Process, Quality & Governance
- Drive structured verification processes and best practices across the organization.
- Apply strong project and program management discipline to verification activities.
- Ensure alignment with development methodologies, quality standards, and business objectives.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of direct engineering management experience.
- Strong background in digital and high‑speed serial hardware verification and automated test systems.
- Experience developing custom test hardware and verification software.
- Proficiency in C/C++, C#, or similar programming languages.
- Full product lifecycle experience from concept through production release.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high‑performing engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present effectively to senior leadership.
Preferred
- Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Experience with Agile or modern software development practices.
- Exposure to manufacturing, NPI, or post‑release customer support environments.
- Formal project management training or certification (e.g., PMP).
