Position Overview: Indirect Procurement Manager - EMEA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for indirect sourcing activities across the EMEA region.
  • Support sourcing for indirect categories such as Facilities Management, Utilities (Electricity, Gas, Water), and Maintenance.
  • Provide cross-country sourcing leadership and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Align regional sourcing efforts with global strategies in coordination with global sourcing leads.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to drive cost improvements and track key sourcing metrics (e.g., savings, Days-to-Pay).
  • Lead sourcing execution reviews and facilitate cross-functional workshops.
  • Manage initiatives related to supplier rationalization, preferred supplier development, and small buy negotiations.
  • Drive simplification of sourcing processes and tools.
  • Deliver training on sourcing procedures and serve as a key point of contact for process-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with sourcing policies and support the implementation of guidelines and procedures.

Candidate Profile:

  • Holds or is pursuing a professional procurement qualification (e.g., MCIPS) or a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Purchasing, or a related field.
  • Brings substantial experience in Sourcing, Project Management, Finance, or Operations.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of indirect commodities and contractual frameworks.
  • Has strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in database and PC tools.
  • Communicates effectively in English; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Experienced in project management and process improvement.
  • Proficient in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Has led sourcing simplification projects and served as a site lead for indirect sourcing.
  • Experience in the healthcare or life sciences industry is preferred.
