About the Role
I am supporting my client, a well‑established consumer goods business, in hiring a Logistics Manager / E‑Commerce Logistics Lead to strengthen their operational logistics capabilities and help build the future state of their warehousing and fulfilment model.
This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on logistics and warehouse experience who understands B2C fulfilment and enjoys a blend of operational involvement and project-based work. You will play a key role in designing and implementing new logistics structures as the organisation transitions activities currently handled by external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of future logistics and warehousing concepts for the business.
- Contribute to the design and setup of a new warehouse model, including defining operational processes and flows.
- Collaborate directly with me on improving logistics performance and building long-term logistics capabilities.
- Coordinate with an existing logistics centre in the Czech Republic to ensure efficient distribution to customer sites.
- Manage operational aspects related to both Amazon Vendor and Amazon Seller models.
- Support the transfer of logistics activities as the business brings previously outsourced operations in‑house.
- Provide practical guidance based on real warehouse experience and operational understanding.
- Work cross-functionally with e‑commerce, operations, and supply chain teams to improve B2C fulfilment.
- Lead or support project-based initiatives aimed at optimisation and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong logistics background with practical, hands‑on warehouse experience.
- Solid understanding of logistics workflows, warehousing processes, and B2C fulfilment operations.
- Experience with Amazon logistics or a comparable high-volume e‑commerce environment desired.
- Confident working in a project-driven environment and contributing to new operational setups.
- Fluent German and English are both required for daily communication across teams and stakeholders.
- Comfortable working on-site 4 days per week in Mannheim
- A collaborative team player with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Ideally suited to someone in their mid-30s to early 40s, but all experienced applicants will be considered.
- Candidates who have previously held Area Manager or similar operational leadership roles are strongly encouraged to apply.
