Maintenance Manager (M/F/D)

To support one of its key European sites, the organisation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager (m/f/d). In this position, you will take end-to-end responsibility for the maintenance, reliability, and ongoing development of buildings, infrastructure, and technical facilities. Leading the site's maintenance and facility management teams, you will ensure safe, efficient operations while playing a key role in refurbishment, investment, and continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and developing the facility management and maintenance teams, both professionally and disciplinary
- Ensuring the operation, servicing, and maintenance of all buildings, utilities, and technical infrastructure
- Aligning technical areas strategically and operationally to support long-term site objectives
- Managing and overseeing new construction projects, refurbishments, and modernisation initiatives
- Procuring, operating, and monitoring technical systems, with responsibility for availability and performance
- Managing internal teams and external service providers, including negotiating and managing maintenance and repair contracts
- Ensuring full compliance with legal requirements, safety regulations, and internal standards
Your Background
- Technical qualification as a technician or master craftsman, or a degree in facility management, electrical engineering, building services engineering, or a comparable discipline
- Several years of experience in a similar technical leadership role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven people management skills and the ability to motivate and develop technical teams
- Broad technical know-how, ideally across building services and multiple skilled trades
- Confident user of MS Office
- A structured, solution-oriented working style combined with strong communication skills
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a clear service and quality focus
