Position Title: Maintenance Planner - Manufacturing Operations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the key liaison between maintenance and production teams to understand equipment needs and schedule maintenance activities accordingly.
  • Utilize enterprise asset management software (e.g., SAP or equivalent) to plan, schedule, and track all preventive and corrective maintenance work.
  • Coordinate with technicians and supervisors to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance history to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts usage, labor hours, and maintenance costs.
  • Ensure spare parts availability by working closely with inventory and procurement teams.
  • Support root cause analysis efforts for recurring equipment issues and assist in developing long-term solutions.
  • Monitor compliance with maintenance schedules and escalate delays or resource constraints as needed.
  • Assist in developing and refining preventive maintenance programs based on OEM recommendations and operational feedback.
  • Provide after-hours support when critical planning input is required for emergency repairs or troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment, with at least 2 years in a planning or coordination role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience using CMMS or EAM systems (SAP preferred) for maintenance planning and reporting.

Education & Technical Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance management software.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Work Environment & Expectations:

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in industrial settings with exposure to heat, dust, and machinery.
  • Flexibility to adjust work hours based on maintenance schedules and production needs.

Language Requirements:

  • English is the primary language for communication to ensure clarity in documentation and coordination.

Physical & Mobility Requirements:

  • Based in a manufacturing facility located in Barnwell, SC.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training or coordination with other facilities.
  • Must be able to navigate the plant floor, including climbing stairs and inspecting equipment areas.
  • Occasional lifting of parts or tools up to 50 lbs may be required.

  • Internal: Maintenance, Production, Inventory, and Administrative teams.
  • External: Equipment vendors, service providers, and partner facilities.
