Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Automotive Industry

Location: Greater Charleston, SC

Job Type: Full-Time, On Site

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead special projects and support new equipment launches.
  • Monitor and interpret safety, quality, maintenance, and operational reports to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assess equipment performance and recommend strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve safety.
  • Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams and PFMEA documentation for manufacturing processes.
  • Create and update process documentation, including work instructions and training materials.
  • Establish and enforce standardized work procedures for all operations within scope.
  • Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing objectives.
  • Define and maintain process parameters and recipes for new and existing products.
  • Analyze process variation and implement capability improvements

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred; Associate degree in an engineering discipline with relevant experience considered.
  • Familiarity with materials and production methods.
  • 3-5 years of experience in automated or semi-automated manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems.
