Market Business Development Manager, Technology
Role:
- As our Sales & Business Development Manager in Malaysia, you will be at the forefront of our regional growth strategy. Your mission is to drive external sales, acquire new customers, and develop innovative logistics solutions tailored to the needs of high-tech and life sciences clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead external sales efforts and drive new customer acquisition in Malaysia and the broader Asia Pacific region.
- Identify and analyze new market opportunities in express and high-performance airfreight logistics.
- Develop and promote innovative express and airfreight products tailored to customer needs.
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with airlines, logistics providers, and strategic clients.
- Conduct regular customer visits and represent time:matters at industry events and trade shows.
- Create detailed market and competitor analyses to inform strategic decisions.
- Manage cross-functional projects to introduce new services, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to evaluate the success of business development initiatives.
- Support additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in outside sales within freight forwarding, cargo handling, or logistics; or a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience working with or selling into the high-tech industry, with a strong understanding of its logistics needs and challenges.
- Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and building sustainable business relationships.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- High emotional intelligence and collaborative spirit.
