Materials Manager
A leading global technology manufacturer is seeking a Materials Manager to join their team. This role is critical to developing and improving logistics and material purchasing processes, optimizing inventory strategies, and supporting new manufacturing and customer programs. Responsibilities:
Process Development & Strategic Initiatives
- Design, implement, and enhance logistics and material purchasing processes to support manufacturing and customer programs.
- Provide analytical support for supply chain projects and develop warehouse strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with logistics and manufacturing teams on strategic initiatives, tracking milestones and managing new process rollouts.
Inventory & Business Continuity
- Work with sourcing and planning teams to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
- Develop optimized inventory strategies and business continuity plans.
- Promote process improvement through automation and system streamlining.
Reporting & Leadership Communication
- Prepare and deliver regular reports to supply chain leadership on key deliverables and objectives.
- Support environmental, health, safety, and security requirements in all activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of supply chain experience, preferably in a high-tech or semiconductor environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with MRP and inventory planning methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and warehouse/transportation systems (SAP EWM, SAP TMS) preferred.
