Our client, a global manufacturer within the consumer products industry, is seeking an Operations Team Leader to oversee frontline production operations at a high-volume manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives while leading a team of production technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct leadership to frontline production employees, including scheduling, staffing, coaching, and daily performance management.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, service, cost, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, yield variances, inventory performance, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead autonomous maintenance and equipment performance initiatives to reduce downtime and improve operational reliability.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and site leadership teams to ensure seamless production execution and achievement of business objectives.
- Develop and mentor employees through technical training, performance coaching, and career development initiatives while maintaining positive employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, GMP, food safety, and environmental standards while supporting incident investigations and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production operations, workforce management, continuous improvement, and operational performance metrics.
- Experience driving safety, quality, GMP, and environmental compliance within a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, resolve conflict, drive employee engagement, and achieve production goals.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
