Position Summary:

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for sourcing and managing the supply of commodity-based raw materials essential to our production processes. This role demands a strong analytical mindset, exposure to commodity markets, and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in food-grade materials and a proven track record of cost optimization and risk mitigation through data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for commodities.
  • Analyze market data, supplier performance, and cost trends to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Use data modeling and forecasting tools to anticipate price fluctuations and supply chain risks.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure optimal value.
  • Collaborate with R&D, operations, and finance teams to align procurement with business goals.
  • Maintain supplier performance metrics and conduct regular reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Support sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data visualization tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of commodity markets and raw material sourcing.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment and travel as needed.
