Procurement Manager
The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing raw materials and components used in the production of goods. This role involves identifying purchasing needs, researching and selecting quality products, and negotiating prices, terms, and delivery timelines with suppliers. The position also includes managing inventory levels, coordinating transportation logistics, and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery. Additional responsibilities may include monitoring product quality, escalating discrepancies, and contributing to product development and quality control initiatives.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of procurement experience, ideally in the protein industry (beef, chicken, pork, or specialty meats)
- Food & Beverage industry experience
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Proven experience in supply chain and inventory management
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities

- Identify and assess purchasing needs
- Source and procure quality materials and products
- Build and maintain supplier relationships
- Negotiate pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules
- Process requisitions and provide order status updates
- Manage inventory and stock levels
- Coordinate transportation and ensure timely delivery
- Analyze market trends to support informed purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with inventory, stockroom, and management teams
- Monitor stock quality and report issues
- Oversee supplier performance and resolve supply chain issues
