Production Manager
The role provides leadership and oversight for all aspects of production operations during the assigned shift at the facility. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement while ensuring alignment with performance goals and customer expectations. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role plays a key role in continuous improvement and team development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead shift operations in compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
- Promote a culture of safety by teaching best practices and ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Coordinate production scheduling to meet customer demands while managing overtime, inventory, and cost efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as SPS, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Provide direction, training, and development for hourly employees; manage performance and resolve issues as needed.
- Foster employee engagement and build productive relationships across the team.
- Identify and implement capital projects to improve operational performance.
- Communicate shift performance, challenges, and priorities to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ability to manage shift operations and drive team performance in a dynamic setting.
