The Quality Assurance Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead all plant‑level quality activities in a high‑volume manufacturing environment with strong shop‑floor engagement.
- Build, develop, and stabilize a six‑person quality team, ensuring consistent execution and accountability.
- Establish clear communication and execution standards across a bilingual (English/Spanish) inspection workforce.
- Take full ownership of quality decisions under production pressure, including product acceptability decisions.
- Partner closely with plant and production leadership to ensure quality supports production flow and efficiency.
- Reduce quality‑related disruptions that result in rework, downtime, or weekend recovery work.
- Implement practical process improvements that strengthen discipline without unnecessarily slowing production.
- Maintain a strong floor presence and provide real‑time leadership in a fast‑paced operating environment.
The ideal Quality Assurance Manager candidate will have the following skillset:
- Experience leading quality in a manufacturing environment with direct floor involvement.
- Proven ownership of quality decisions that impacted production outcomes.
- Experience improving or building quality processes and systems, not just maintaining them.
- Ability to operate independently in a lean leadership structure with limited onboarding.
- Comfort making decisions under pressure and leading in live production settings.
- Experience working with bilingual teams; Spanish strongly preferred.
- Background in fiberglass, plastics, composites, or similar manufacturing processes is a plus but not required.
