Quality Manager

Job Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality assurance and control within a machinery and equipment manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products meet engineering specifications, regulatory standards, and customer expectations. The Quality Manager works closely with design, production, and service teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, and enhance product reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and industry-specific standards.
  • Oversee inspection and testing of components, assemblies, and finished equipment.
  • Lead investigations into non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Manage internal audits and support external audits from customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality is built into product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Train and mentor quality personnel; foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management within machinery or equipment manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC, and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
