Quality / Validation Supervisor Needed for Growing Manufacturing Firm
Position Summary
The Quality / Validation Supervisor provides leadership and technical oversight for cleanroom and HEPA filtration certification services within regulated environments. This role is responsible for supervising field technicians, coordinating service schedules, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, and reviewing technical documentation prior to client submission. The supervisor also performs hands-on testing, certification, and preventive maintenance activities across cleanroom and containment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of technicians, including work assignment, scheduling, and performance oversight
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance and certification service activities across multiple client sites
- Review, verify, and approve technical reports and validation documentation prior to release
- Perform HEPA filter certification, testing, installation, service, and preventive maintenance in cleanroom, containment, and controlled environments
- Ensure services are executed in compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards (including IEST, ISO 14644-1/2, and NSF 49 where applicable)
- Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready records suitable for regulatory and customer review
- Inspect HEPA-filtered environments and equipment to verify operational and compliance status
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues encountered during field testing and certification activities
- Conduct periodic customer service evaluations and communicate equipment status and recommendations
- Support quality systems by revising, developing, and maintaining departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Train, mentor, and develop newly hired technicians, including proper use of test equipment and documentation practices
- Coordinate project tracking, labor allocation, equipment utilization, and calibration schedules
- Adhere to OSHA, FDA, and other applicable safety and regulatory requirements
- Perform work in a variety of environments, including sterile, industrial, commercial, and outdoor settings
- Provide additional operational or maintenance support as required

- HEPA-filtered devices and environments, including biological safety cabinets, clean benches, and cleanrooms
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in a technical maintenance, validation, or certification-related role
- Technical experience in industrial and/or commercial environments
- Associate degree, technical/trade school education, or equivalent experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to produce clear, professional, and regulator-ready written records
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work independently or within a team environment
- Customer service-oriented mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
- Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and attention to detail
