About the Role:

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager - Ocean - 3PL - Hybrid with a strong background in 3PL in ocean freight and solutions within any vertical industry to lead our commercial strategy. This is a team leader level acting as individual contributor role focused on driving sustainable growth, expanding market share, and delivering value-added logistics solutions to our clients, with internal potential opportunity to mentor junior sales team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a national sales strategy focused on ocean freight services and solutions within the 3PL framework.
  • Lead and coach a team of sales professionals across Australia
  • Build strategic relationships with key accounts, multinational clients, and industry partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities any verticals within ocean freight services and solutions
  • Collaborate with operations, pricing, and product teams to deliver customised, end-to-end logistics solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
  • Report on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline development to senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or business development within the 3PL in ocean freight and service within any vertical of industry
  • Proven success in managing national or regional sales teams and achieving commercial KPIs.
  • Deep understanding of international airfreight operations, customs, and supply chain solutions.
  • Strong network within the logistics and freight forwarding industry, hybrid of either based in Sydney or Melbourne.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally within the region.
