Senior Category Manager (M/F/D)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Category Manager to lead multiple product categories for one of our most strategic clients in the e-commerce industry. This is a high-impact role where you will combine leadership, analytical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to drive category growth and shape the future of online retail.
What You'll Do
- Category Ownership: Take full responsibility for several product categories, ensuring continuous development and alignment with the client's strategic objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of Category Managers and Associates, fostering growth through coaching, feedback, and professional development.
- Strategic Projects: Spearhead cross-functional initiatives to optimise processes and deliver corporate strategies that enhance e-commerce performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain, marketing, and customer service teams to deliver category excellence for a leading online retailer.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse pricing, promotions, and availability to maximise portfolio performance and profitability.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business or analytical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in category management or procurement, ideally within e-commerce or retail.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Proven leadership ability and emotional intelligence to motivate and guide teams.
- Willingness to work 4-5 days per week in our Düsseldorf office.
