Title: Senior Engineering Project Manager

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000

Location: Eastern Shore, MD OR Chesapeake Area, VA

A well-established food and agricultural manufacturer is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead major capital projects across its operations network. This is an opportunity to join a growing engineering team responsible for delivering large-scale facility expansions, modernization initiatives, and infrastructure improvements that support long-term operational performance. The Senior Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading multi-million dollar capital projects from concept development and approval through construction, commissioning, and project closeout
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and project execution plans to ensure successful delivery
  • Coordinating engineering design activities and partnering with operations, maintenance, safety, environmental, and quality teams
  • Overseeing contractors, vendors, and construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and schedule objectives are achieved
  • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies to support project success
  • Managing change control processes, project reporting, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supporting facility expansion, modernization, reliability, and cost-improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations

The Senior Engineering Project Manager should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline)
  • 8+ years of experience managing capital projects within manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or food processing environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-million-dollar engineering or capital projects
  • Strong background in budgeting, scheduling, project controls, contractor management, and change management
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively within plant environments
  • Experience supporting construction, commissioning, and operational startup activities
  • PE license and/or PMP certification is a plus
  • Experience within grain handling, oilseed processing, feed production, refining, or bulk material handling operations is preferred
