Senior Process Engineer

We are seeking a Process Engineer eager to improve and refine our operational performance. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will focus on maintaining product quality and consistency through the use of Statistical Process Control. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise to enhance first-pass yield, optimize workflows, and identify cost-saving opportunities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, driving continuous improvement, and making a measurable impact on daily operations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Closely track process performance and manage Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities for key operations
  • Conduct daily reviews of production to ensure product quality, cycle times, EHS compliance, and adherence to standard procedures
  • Investigate and identify root causes of process deviations or product defects, and implement effective corrective actions
  • Oversee assigned Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMRs), ensuring timely closure while driving root cause analysis, corrective measures, and reduction of repeat issues
  • Develop and update work instructions for current products to maintain accuracy and efficiency
  • Support scaling efforts from pilot runs to full production by preparing process documentation, validating batches, and training operators
  • Lead capital projects related to process engineering from planning through execution
  • Diagnose and resolve issues associated with process equipment
  • Partner with maintenance and production teams, following Management of Change (MOC) procedures to ensure safe and compliant equipment modifications and process updates
  • Act as a backup resource for plant EHS initiatives, including waste shipment coordination, permit tracking, audits, and system performance verification
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and execute equipment and instrumentation calibration programs

Ideal Skillset:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in batch chemical processing and manufacturing /production experience
