Senior Project Engineer
The Project Engineer leads the execution of capital projects, including developing scopes of work, user requirements, budgets, schedules, and cost controls. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while aligning with engineering standards and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project charters, funding requests, and scopes of work.
- Execute all phases of the Capital Project Delivery process, including Front-End Engineering and Start-Up.
- Prepare accurate project cost estimates and maintain cost performance targets.
- Create, manage, and update project schedules in coordination with engineering and construction teams.
- Establish and enforce project practices related to safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
- Lead project change management and decision-making processes.
- Resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with engineering standards and codes.
- Serve as the primary communicator between project teams and leadership.
- Integrate plant personnel and contractors for effective project execution.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Partner with operations and product development to identify and meet customer needs.
- Provide project controls, budgeting, and accounting support to Project Managers.
- Ensure proper project documentation aligned with engineering best practices.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer, or related Engineering field (required)
Experience
- 3-5 years of project or construction management experience (required)
- Experience in food manufacturing (preferred)
- Background in programming/controls (preferred)
- Understanding of the Capital Delivery Process (preferred)
