Technical Writer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and technical specifications for innovative kitchen appliances. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand content for end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user manuals, quick-start guides, and technical documentation for products.
• Collaborate with engineering, product design, and quality assurance teams to gather technical information.
• Ensure all documentation complies with brand standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.
• Create illustrations, diagrams, and visual aids to enhance clarity and usability.
• Edit and proofread content for accuracy, consistency, and readability.
• Manage version control and updates for existing documentation.
• Work closely with marketing and customer support teams to align messaging and improve user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, English, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in consumer electronics or appliance manufacturing.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data.
• Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, MS Word, InDesign) and graphic editing software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of compliance standards (UL, CE, FCC) is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with content management systems (CMS).
• Familiarity with usability principles and human factors engineering.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
