Summary
The VP Operations will partner with senior leadership to streamline office and warehouse operations, oversee growth initiatives, and ensure smooth execution of strategic projects as the organization scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead major operational initiatives alongside the CEO and Director of Operations to support organizational expansion.
- Oversee the assessment, launch, and daily management of a new warehouse/workforce management system designed to support increased inventory and distribution volume.
- Translate executive priorities into structured project plans and ensure aligned execution across teams.
- Maintain oversight of internal compliance by reviewing policies, documentation, and interdepartmental processes.
- Direct daily operational activity with a 70% focus on office operations and a 30% focus on warehouse functions.
- Present implementation proposals, including ROI assessments and detailed execution strategies.
- Build and enhance cross‑functional processes, develop standards, and strengthen operational systems.
- Communicate and implement approved operational and strategic improvements across the organization.
- Provide insight and direction for ERP improvements, system adjustments, and workflow optimization.
Required Experience
- Background working with commodity‑driven businesses or products.
- Experience in distribution or logistics‑focused environments.
- Strong understanding of operational systems, logistical processes, and workflow management.
- Demonstrated history of leading warehouse enhancements or new system implementations.
- Experience managing international suppliers or globally sourced products (preferred).
- Collaboration experience with IT teams on ERP adjustments or system upgrades.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross‑departmental functions.
