Business Development Manager - Airfreight
About the Role
We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager of Airfreight for our client to lead growth initiatives within the Airfreight division. Based in Amsterdam, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding our airfreight customer base across the Netherlands and broader European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities in the airfreight sector.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with operations and pricing teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.
Requirements
- Proven track record in business development or sales within the airfreight or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of international freight forwarding, customs, and supply chain solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the Netherlands and occasionally within Europe.
