Commodity Manager
A leading food and consumer products manufacturer is seeking a Commodity Manager to join its corporate procurement team. This high-impact role will be responsible for developing commodity sourcing strategies, managing price and supply risk, leading supplier relationships, and driving significant value across a complex manufacturing network.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity sourcing and risk management strategies for key ingredient categories.
- Monitor commodity markets, industry trends, and supply risks while providing recommendations to executive leadership.
- Lead contract negotiations, supplier selection, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance metrics, quarterly business reviews, and long-term partnerships.
- Develop annual and monthly forecasting models, budget inputs, and commodity cost projections.
- Drive cost savings, productivity improvements, and supply chain resiliency initiatives.
- Partner closely with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Support procurement leadership with market intelligence, hedging strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with commodity purchasing, market analysis, and supplier negotiations.
- Strong understanding of risk management, commodity pricing, and supply chain dynamics.
- Background working with ingredients, raw materials, packaging, chemicals, agricultural products, or other commodity-based categories preferred.
- Proven success leading supplier relationships and cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills.
- ERP experience (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel capabilities.
