Quality Engineer
Overview
Our partner is a growing engineering and manufacturing organization seeking a Quality Engineer to support major customer projects from kickoff through completion. This role will be responsible for managing project quality activities, leading customer quality interactions, supporting supplier quality initiatives, and ensuring products meet all contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and execute project quality plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality documentation.
- Coordinate testing, inspections, and quality reviews with customers and internal teams.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective action activities for quality issues.
- Manage nonconformance reporting and resolution processes.
- Conduct fabrication, assembly, and supplier inspections to ensure quality compliance.
- Support supplier evaluations and work with vendors to improve product quality and performance.
- Maintain project quality records, metrics, and customer documentation packages.
- Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical role.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control panel drawings, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel to customer and supplier facilities as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or industrial equipment projects.
- Supplier quality and customer-facing quality management experience.
- Knowledge of quality systems, inspections, and project documentation management.
