Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 Base Salary + Bonus Opportunity
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement to lead strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives across a rapidly growing restaurant organization. This role will oversee approximately $300M in annual indirect spend, with primary responsibility for categories supporting new restaurant development, including Kitchen Equipment, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), Signage, and Contractor Services. QSR experience is a plus!
This is a highly visible role partnering with Development, Construction, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership to drive value creation, supplier performance, cost savings, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies across indirect procurement categories supporting restaurant growth and new store openings.
- Manage approximately $300M in annual spend across kitchen equipment, FF&E, signage, contractor services, and related development categories.
- Lead complex supplier negotiations and contract management activities, delivering measurable cost savings, service improvements, and risk reduction.
- Identify strategic sourcing opportunities and supplier consolidation initiatives to improve purchasing leverage and standardization.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring performance against service, quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Construction, Facilities, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Development teams to support restaurant expansion plans.
- Conduct market intelligence and supplier benchmarking to identify emerging trends, pricing opportunities, and supply chain risks.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts related to procurement processes, supplier performance management, and category strategies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term procurement planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and governance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
- 7+ years of procurement, sourcing, or category management experience, with current experience operating at the Manager, Senior Manager, or equivalent leadership level.
- Prior experience within the restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-site consumer business environment.
- Significant experience managing indirect spend categories, particularly:
- Kitchen Equipment
- FF&E
- Signage
- Construction and Contractor Services
- New Store Development / New Restaurant Openings
- Demonstrated history of independently leading supplier negotiations with measurable outcomes, including:
- Cost savings
- Service level improvements
- Supplier performance enhancements
- Contract optimization
- Risk mitigation
- Strong contract negotiation and vendor management expertise.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead strategic sourcing initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting aggressive growth and new site development programs.
- Exposure to procurement and sourcing platforms such as:
- Coupa
- SAP Ariba
- BuyerQuest
- Workday
- Similar P2P, sourcing, or contract management systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage spend data and market insights to drive decision-making.
- Experience developing category strategies and executive-level business cases.
