Our client, a well-established international logistics provider, is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to join their growing team. With a strong presence in specialised sectors such as maritime, energy, and chemical logistics, this company is poised for significant expansion and is looking for a commercial leader to help drive that growth.
About the Role
This is a high-impact role where you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and scaling a high-performing sales team. The role covers the Netherlands, with an intention to become a Global scope position. You will work closely with senior leadership to shape and execute the commercial strategy across key markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to expand the company's footprint in target industries.
- Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities in both domestic and international markets.
- Build and lead a team of business development professionals.
- Collaborate with operations and technical teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within logistics, freight forwarding, maritime, or energy sectors.
- Proven ability to grow and lead a sales team.
- Strong commercial acumen and a consultative sales approach.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a passion for growth and innovation.
