Casting Technician
About the Role
Seeking a Casting Technician to join our team on 3rd shift. This role is critical to producing high-quality water purification membranes through a continuous coating process. The Casting Technician operates and monitors the coating line, performs quality checks, and ensures all process variables meet specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate coating machines for production runs.
- Mix and feed coating chemicals to the machine according to specifications.
- Monitor and adjust process variables (viscosity, pH, temperature, flow, speed, thickness).
- Perform periodic quality tests on membrane samples.
- Document process data accurately and maintain compliance with company standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping and safety guidelines.
- Complete respirator fit test and adhere to PPE requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- No prior experience necessary; training provided.
- Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Ability to pass respirator fit test.
Work Environment
- Production/warehouse setting with moderate noise level.
- Requires use of respiratory protection and adherence to safety protocols.
