Director of Manufacturing
The Director, U.S. Manufacturing will lead production operations across 2 PA facilities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with strategic objectives. This role focuses on clean room component manufacturing and requires expertise in plastic and silicone extrusion and injection molding. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Director will drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality standards.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, promoting accountability and collaboration.
- Implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Manage clean room manufacturing processes in compliance with cGMP and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Monitor KPIs and use MES and SCADA systems to track performance and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D) to align operations with business goals.
- Ensure facility and equipment maintenance programs are executed to minimize downtime.
- Apply technical expertise in plastic and silicone extrusion and molding to optimize production and troubleshoot issues.
- Drive SPC initiatives and data-driven decision-making to improve operational outcomes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 10-15 years in operations management
- Proven expertise in Industrial / metals / Plastics.
- Strong background in clean room operations and regulatory compliance.
- Skills:
- Leadership and team development across multiple facilities.
- Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, MES, and SCADA systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience in process optimization.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSEM).
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Multilingual proficiency.
