About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Operations to lead and optimize our grains and rice division. This role is ideal for a seasoned operations leader with deep experience in agricultural commodities, supply chain logistics, and production management. You will oversee end-to-end operations, drive efficiency, and ensure quality across sourcing, processing, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational strategy for grains and rice, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Oversee procurement, inventory management, production planning, and logistics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, quality assurance, and finance.
- Implement process improvements to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and optimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for raw materials and services.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in operations leadership, preferably in grains, rice, or related food/agriculture sectors.
- Proven track record in supply chain optimization, production management, and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of commodity markets, agricultural sourcing, and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
