A global leader in sustainable packaging is seeking an experienced and proactive Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to lead, implement, and continuously improve our site-level EHS programs. This role is critical to ensuring a safe working environment, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a strong culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable local and state regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Plan, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are completed.
  • Lead accident, injury, and near‑miss investigations, driving continuous improvement and hazard reduction.
  • Prepare and manage OSHA 300 logs, regulatory reporting, and safety performance metrics.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs, including monthly supervisor‑led safety meetings.
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to create JSAs, training materials, and practical safety solutions.
  • Manage workers' compensation programs, including claims oversight, return‑to‑work initiatives, and cost control.
  • Ensure environmental compliance, including hazardous waste management, emissions standards, and storm water requirements.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), coordinate industrial hygiene testing, and liaise with regulatory and sanitation agencies.
  • Flexibility to be onsite during off shift as needed (24/7 facility)

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, procedures, and regulatory documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, or Environmental discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing safety environment
