Electrical Engineer
A reputable aerospace manufacturer is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with at least 4-6 years of experience to design and implement embedded processor control platforms for aerospace applications. This role involves leading electrical design efforts, conducting testing and qualification activities, and producing detailed engineering documentation to support multi-year development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement embedded processor-based control platforms for aerospace systems.
- Lead and coordinate electrical design efforts for large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Apply expertise in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment selection.
- Conduct investigative and qualification testing to meet military and aerospace standards.
- Write comprehensive engineering reports, procedures, and documentation throughout the development life cycle.
- Ensure EMI/RFI compliance in hardware system architecture.
- Support the introduction of new technologies to enhance product reliability, safety, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and test electrical components during initial and ongoing production phases.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to meet project objectives.
- Communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve technical goals.
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- 4-6+ years of relevant experience in aerospace electrical engineering and design.
- Strong knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and best practices.
- Experience with aerospace actuators, sensors, and both analog and processor-based motion controls.
- Proficiency in electrical and systems engineering for military or commercial applications.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar.
- Experience with SPI, Ethernet, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, and CAN Bus.
- Understanding of RTCA DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461 compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to produce clear, detailed technical reports and procedures.
