Our client is a world-leading manufacturer of advanced CNC machining solutions serving the aerospace industry. To support continued growth, they are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their headquarters-based team in Switzerland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a combination of commissioning, customer interaction, troubleshooting, and international project work.
The Role
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation, start-up, and optimisation of sophisticated 5-axis machining centres and associated automation systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commissioning and testing of advanced 5-axis CNC machining centres and handling systems
- Conducting functional testing and machine validation activities
- Supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and customer acceptance procedures
- Working with CNC controls, drives, spindle systems, and machine automation technology
- Delivering technical training to customers and assembly teams
- Providing remote troubleshooting and diagnostics support for machine and process-related issues
- Supporting customers during installation and start-up phases worldwide
Requirements
- Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or similar
- Further education as a Technician (HF), Engineer, or equivalent qualification
- Experience in commissioning, machine tools, CNC technology, automation, or industrial equipment
- Strong customer-facing skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Interest in new technologies and continuous learning
- Fluent German and good English language skills
