Engineering Administrator
DSJ Global is proud to partner with a rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in Connecticut that is seeking to hire a highly organized and detail-oriented Engineering Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in supporting the engineering department's daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in document control, project monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, the Engineering Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of engineering activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and generating detailed reports that support strategic decision-making.
In this role, you will be tasked with controlling and monitoring all engineering project documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely updates. You will also be responsible for generating comprehensive reports that track project milestones, progress, and financial comparisons such as Costed Bill of Materials versus Budgeted Materials. Your ability to collaborate effectively with departments such as Planning and Order Entry will be essential in streamlining workflows and enhancing operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Control and monitor documents of engineering projects.
- Generate comprehensive reports detailing milestones, project progress, and comparisons of Costed Bill of Materials (BOM) vs. Budget Materials.
- Collaborate with Planning, Order Entry, and other departments to streamline engineering activities.
- Create and distribute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to support BOM, Work in Progress (WIP), and job requirements.
- Monitor departmental and engineering workloads, including budget tracking, routine weekly/monthly reporting, and project completion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field.
- Ability to understand project schedules and budgets.
- Strong background in ERP systems.
- Ability to work in a cross-departmental role.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
