EPC Contracts Manager
Overview
A global engineering and project delivery organization is seeking an EPC Contracts Manager to oversee contracting activities across major multi-phase capital projects. This leader will own the full contracting lifecycle-from strategy development through contract award, administration, change management, and closeout-ensuring flawless execution, governance compliance, and effective contractor performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop contracting strategies, bid plans, pricing approaches, and contractor selection frameworks for integration into the Project Execution Plan.
- Lead and supervise a team of contract specialists and administrators across formation, administration, and closeout phases.
- Manage bid processes, contract drafting, negotiations, awards, and handover to site teams.
- Oversee contractual change control, claims management, payment certifications, schedule changes, and performance evaluations.
- Facilitate project-wide communication, ensure compliance with governance requirements, and maintain contract registers and documentation.
- Support resource planning, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Extensive EPCM project experience managing construction and services contracts.
- Contract/legal training with strong knowledge of commercial terms, negotiation, and dispute resolution.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contracting strategies, governance, and contractor management.
- Prior site-based experience administering construction contracts plus leadership and team‑management skills.
Preferred:
- Tertiary qualification, legal/arbitration certification, international project experience, bilingual abilities.
