Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Indirect Category Manager - IT to lead procurement initiatives for IT-related goods and services across our aerospace operations in Colorado. This role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies while ensuring alignment with corporate IT and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies for IT hardware, software, cloud services, telecom, and professional services.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives including RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier selection.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, finance, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage supplier performance, risk, and compliance, including SLAs and KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and innovation within the IT procurement space.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, emerging technologies, and supplier capabilities.
  • Ensure adherence to aerospace industry standards, cybersecurity protocols, and export control regulations (e.g., ITAR, DFARS).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, IT, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in indirect procurement with a focus on IT categories.
  • Experience in the aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems - SAP Preferred
  • Knowledge of IT sourcing best practices, licensing models, and cloud procurement.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • ITIL or other IT-related certifications
