Position Overview:
The Inventory Planner will play a critical role in optimizing inventory levels across their product portfolio, ensuring the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demand. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and a passion for beauty and consumer goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage inventory plans to support sales forecasts, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Monitor inventory levels across all channels (e-commerce, retail, wholesale) and recommend replenishment strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align inventory with business goals.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and seasonal patterns to forecast demand accurately.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose action plans to optimize turnover.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support ERP system updates and improvements.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate inventory performance and KPIs to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory planning, preferably in cosmetics, beauty, or consumer packaged goods.
- Proficiency in Excel and inventory management systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.
