A leading Food and Beverage manufacturing organization committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement is seeking a Plant Maintenance Manager to lead its maintenance department. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, proven management experience, and a passion for driving reliability and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.
The Plant Maintenance Manager Will Be Responsible for the Following:
- Execute plant vision and mission to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and continuous improvement.
- Lead maintenance team leaders and hourly associates to achieve goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Implement and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Manage departmental budgets and control costs within established guidelines.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels for replacement parts.
- Oversee building and grounds maintenance to ensure GMP compliance and professional standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve recurring downtime and inefficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive employee engagement, training, and development to enhance team performance.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance on employee relations and budget planning.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and meet quality standards.
The Plant Maintenance Manager Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience) highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems; PLC experience is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and business software.
- Solid communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
