About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations in a high‑volume industrial facility located in Tampa. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader with strong expertise in material‑handling equipment, conveyor systems, robotics, electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, CMMS oversight, and facility maintenance-all of which align with current industrial hiring trends in the Tampa market.

Key Responsibilities
- Equipment & Systems Maintenance
- Lead all maintenance activities for conveyor systems, automated material‑handling equipment, robotics, and facility infrastructure.
- Ensure safe operation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Monitor performance of equipment and reduce unplanned downtime through predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM)
- Develop, implement, and manage PM programs aligned with best practices for industrial facilities.
- Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance logs, and schedules through CMMS platforms.
- Track recurring failures and implement long‑term corrective actions.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring technical proficiency and growth.
- Oversee staffing, shift scheduling, training, safety compliance, and performance development.
- Conduct skill‑based training on safe equipment operation and maintenance practices.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Enforce compliance with OSHA and site‑specific safety requirements.
- Conduct daily/weekly inspections to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues.
- Maintain safety documentation, inspections, and compliance logs.
- Facility & Infrastructure Support
- Oversee facility utilities, HVAC, electrical systems, and general infrastructure maintenance.
- Manage vendor relationships for specialized repairs and facility upgrades.
- Support capital improvement projects and equipment installations.
- Continuous Improvement & Operations Support
- Identify opportunities to improve throughput, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Work cross‑functionally with production, engineering, and operations teams to optimize uptime and workflow.
- Contribute to lean, 5S, and reliability‑centered maintenance initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, or automated operations.
- Strong technical expertise with conveyors, robotics, industrial electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency with CMMS systems, maintenance scheduling, and asset management.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, lockout/tagout, and industrial safety practices.
Preferred
- Experience in high‑volume industrial environments involving automation and material‑handling systems.
- Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, automation) or safety certifications (CSP, OSHA 30).
- Experience supporting process improvement frameworks such as Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma.
