Plant Manager
As the Site Manager, you will build and lead an organization that supports both business and operational strategies within an aerospace manufacturing environment. You will provide strategic, developmental, and tactical leadership to drive Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement across the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of products while meeting high standards for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and Customer Service.
This is an onsite position reporting to the Director of Operations and Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example in Safety and Quality, ensuring strict adherence to operational discipline and compliance with company and regulatory requirements across all departments, including cross-functional teams.
- Monitor Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) performance, driving compliance and continuous improvement toward a risk-free manufacturing environment.
- Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and value-driven execution, encouraging leadership at all levels.
- Develop, track, and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and lead corrective actions when performance deviates from targets.
- Facilitate effective communication across the site and with broader business units and offsite teams.
- Apply critical thinking to evaluate and implement alternative strategies and process improvements that increase efficiency and simplicity.
- Define and advance operational strategies, ensuring alignment, process standardization, and collaboration across functions.
- Deliver financial performance in line with operating plans, including managing expenses, variances, and production targets.
- Contribute to working capital management, identifying and addressing performance gaps.
- Anticipate industry and technological changes, identifying opportunities to improve productivity and drive competitive advantage.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance safety, throughput, yield, and quality.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes, ensuring sustainable solutions are implemented.
- Ensure compliance with quality and EHS policies, including proper handling of corrective action reports (CARs), management of change (MOC), and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
- 10+ years of operations and engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience in labor relations is a plus.
- Demonstrated success improving and sustaining manufacturing performance metrics.
- Experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g., AS9100 or similar standards preferred).
- Strong track record in talent development and team leadership.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or otherwise legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
