Process Engineer
On behalf of a multinational chemical company, we are recruiting for a:
Process Engineer (chemicals)
Location: Shanghai, China
Reporting to: Production Unit Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and continuously improve pharmaceutical manufacturing processes to enhance operational efficiency, minimize waste, and raise product quality across production facilities
- Ensure full compliance with GMP, FDA, ISO, and internal standards by integrating regulatory considerations into every stage of process design and execution
- Lead comprehensive process validations and in-depth risk assessments, while maintaining accurate and audit-ready documentation for internal reviews and external inspections
- Evaluate the performance of existing equipment and systems, identify opportunities for upgrades, and oversee the installation and ongoing maintenance of advanced manufacturing technologies
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance teams to uphold product consistency, regulatory conformity, and high standards of safety and effectiveness
- Work in partnership with R&D, production, and supply chain departments to streamline operations, foster innovation, and drive scalability across the manufacturing ecosystem
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities by applying lean manufacturing principles, automating processes, and optimizing vendor contracts through strategic negotiation
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and production personnel, cultivating a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and process ownership
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in process engineering within the chemical industry.
- Proficiency in process simulation, automation systems, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Language: Fluency in Mandarin and English is required..
