Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee daily operations in their food and beverage manufacturing facility in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring product quality and safety, optimizing efficiency, and leading a team of production staff in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight:
    Manage and coordinate all production activities to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.

  • Team Leadership:
    Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.

  • Quality & Compliance:
    Ensure all products meet quality standards and comply with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP).

  • Process Optimization:
    Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.

  • Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
    Work closely with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.

  • Health & Safety:
    Promote and enforce a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA and internal safety protocols.

  • Reporting & Documentation:
    Maintain accurate production records, generate performance reports, and present findings to senior management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in production management within the food and beverage industry
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and manufacturing best practices
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts as needed

Preferred Skills:

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with automated production lines
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
