Production Supervisor
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Shift Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate production activities across multiple lines during assigned shifts. This role ensures operational efficiency, product quality, and safety compliance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and team development. This candidate must have experience within the food/beverage manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shift Leadership & Production Oversight
- Lead and supervise production and packaging teams to meet daily output goals.
- Adjust staffing and work flow in response to changing operational needs.
- Monitor line performance, yield, and profitability; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and interpret data to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Promote and enforce safety and quality standards across all workstations.
- Train team leads on safe and efficient machine operation and production practices.
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of equipment and work areas at shift end.
2. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate shift logs and production reports.
- Communicate operational issues and handover details to incoming supervisors.
- Participate in production meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
3. Issue Analysis & Resolution
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Analyze root causes of production disruptions and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve technical and quality issues.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with technical services for maintenance and equipment needs.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely supply and dispatch of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP), hygiene protocols, and machinery safety.
- Ability to operate and monitor computer-supported production systems.
- Skilled in coaching, delegation, and team motivation.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High level of responsibility, adaptability, and stress resilience.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced production setting with exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and repetitive tasks.
- Shift-based schedule, including nights and weekends as required.
