Purchasing Manager
Location Options: Tulsa, OK or Longview, TX
Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000
Travel: Up to 25% across U.S. manufacturing sites
A leading manufacturer in the industrial machinery space is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead and transform the plant-level purchasing function across multiple U.S. sites. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on standardizing processes, improving performance, and aligning operational execution with corporate sourcing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a distributed team of plant buyers across multiple manufacturing locations
- Standardize purchasing processes, tools, and templates to drive consistency and efficiency
- Improve procurement KPIs including supplier on-time delivery, pricing compliance, PO execution, and responsiveness
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Planning, and Strategic Sourcing teams
- Leverage SAP and procurement analytics to drive data-informed decisions
- Support a center-led procurement model and strategic sourcing initiatives
- Ensure accurate procurement master data and governance across sites
- Provide regular reporting on purchasing performance to senior leadership
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing procurement, including 5+ years managing multi-site teams
- Proven track record of transforming purchasing operations and leading change
- Strong ERP experience (SAP preferred)
- Skilled in coaching, process alignment, and performance management
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (CPSM/CPIM preferred)
- Data-driven, process-oriented, and people-focused leadership style
