The Quality Assurance Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee all quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement functions across the organization.
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate the company's quality management system, including the quality manual, ensuring compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and customer requirements.
- Lead internal and external audits, manage customer quality documentation, and ensure audit readiness at all times.
- Promote understanding and provide training on quality principles, standards, and best practices throughout the organization.
- Serve as a key member of the management team, supporting company values and strategic objectives.
- Partner with the Coxsackie team and external customers to strengthen the QA system and optimize available resources.
- Drive ongoing improvements in quality processes to enhance overall operational performance and teamwork.
- Exercise decision-making authority on all quality-related matters.
- Coordinate and implement QMAT process improvement initiatives to achieve measurable results.
The ideal Quality Assurance Manager candidate will have the following skillset:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years' experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ISO-based quality systems; experience with AS9100 or similar standards preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and mylars.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace specifications and practices, particularly Boeing standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, fostering a constructive and collaborative work environment.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for long-term success.
- Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact confidently with all levels of the organization, customers, and suppliers.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to internal procedures and policies.
