Quality Assurance Supervisor
A leading food manufacturing facility in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality during production shifts, ensuring finished products meet specifications and customer expectations. What You'll Be Doing:
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements, and all food safety protocols.
- Enforce plant safety policies, procedures, and government regulations.
- Supervise and schedule QA staff, including hourly associates, team leaders, and lab technicians.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Assess, coordinate, and administer QA programs and workflows.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams.
- Perform root cause analysis to resolve operational inefficiencies.
- Foster a team environment and provide input on department and program development.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing and the food industry.
- Food processing certifications are a plus.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects, and work well under pressure.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to accept responsibility and demonstrate good judgment and initiative.
