Quality Engineer
Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and processes within a heavy machinery manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products meet internal standards and customer requirements through rigorous testing, inspection, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer works closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to identify and resolve quality issues and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for product and process non-conformances.
- Develop and maintain inspection and testing procedures for components and finished products.
- Support internal and external audits, including ISO and customer-specific requirements.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality is built into products and processes.
- Assist in supplier quality management and incoming material inspections.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in heavy machinery or industrial manufacturing.
- Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
