Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Automotive Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives at our client's Fremont, Ohio manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring our automotive products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive quality systems, leadership experience, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control protocols and procedures for automotive manufacturing.
- Oversee inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished vehicles.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supplier teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Analyze quality performance data and present findings to senior management.
- Train and mentor quality team members to foster a culture of excellence.
- Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Support product development with quality input from concept through launch.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Automotive Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in automotive quality management, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality software tools.
- Certification in quality management (CQE, CQA, or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
Work Environment
- Primarily based in a manufacturing setting.
- May require occasional travel to supplier or customer sites.
