Senior Director, Wholesale and Demand Planning

Location: Miami, Florida
Position Summary

My client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Director to lead their Wholesale and Demand Planning functions. This executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth through wholesale channel optimization, accurate demand forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in retail, merchandising, and supply chain planning, with a proven track record of scaling wholesale operations and improving forecast accuracy.


Key Responsibilities

Wholesale Leadership

  • Develop and execute wholesale strategy across domestic and international markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale partners and accounts.
  • Lead seasonal line planning, pricing strategies, and product assortments tailored to wholesale channels.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align wholesale initiatives with brand goals.

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Own the end-to-end demand planning process, ensuring accurate forecasts across all product categories.
  • Partner with merchandising, finance, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with inventory and financial targets.
  • Implement and optimize demand planning tools and systems to improve forecast accuracy and agility.
  • Monitor market trends, sell-through data, and customer insights to inform planning decisions.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team across wholesale and planning functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment across departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in wholesale, demand planning, or merchandising within the retail or fashion industry.
  • Proven leadership experience managing large teams and complex planning cycles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with department stores, specialty retailers, and e-commerce partners.
